Turn insight into direction.
A focused two to three month engagement that converts foresight and situational awareness into a clear, prioritised and governable strategy.
Why it is needed
Many strategies are long on ambition and short on choices. Without clear priorities, resources spread thin and delivery drifts. Without governance built in from the start, the use of AI creates risks that leaders discover late. A strategy is only useful if it makes decisions easier.
- Ambition without priorities. Everything is important, so nothing is sequenced, funded or owned.
- Insight left on the shelf. Analysis is completed but never translated into decisions leaders can act on.
- Governance added too late. Ethical and responsible use of AI is treated as an afterthought rather than a design principle.
How the engagement is structured
Phases and timings are indicative and are confirmed with each client at scoping.
- Discover (weeks 1 to 3). Consolidate foresight and situational awareness. Interview executives and board members. Define the strategic questions to answer.
- Shape (weeks 3 to 6). Facilitate executive workshops on ambition, strategic choices and options. Test each option against the future scenarios.
- Decide (weeks 6 to 9). Prioritise options. Define objectives, measures and initiatives, the principles for decisions, and the governance for ethical use of AI.
- Endorse (by month three). Finalise the strategy, present it to the executive and board for endorsement, and prepare the handover to delivery and capability planning.
What you receive
- Strategy on a page. A single page that states where the organisation is going, why, and how.
- Strategy document. The full strategy in plain language, prepared for executive and board endorsement.
- Priorities and roadmap. What will be done first, what will follow, and what will not be done.
- Objectives and measures. Clear outcomes and the measures that show whether they are being achieved.
- Decision principles and governance. The rules for making choices and the oversight to keep them accountable, including responsible AI.
- Board and executive presentation. A facilitated session to secure endorsement and commitment.
Independent facilitation
Strategy is shaped in board and executive sessions led by an independent facilitator: strategy days, option workshops and decision meetings that close with clear choices and named owners.
- Clear choices. Every session closes with explicit decisions, not open discussion.
- Named owners. Each priority leaves the room with an accountable owner.
- Governance by design. Ethical and responsible use of AI is treated as a design principle from the start, not an afterthought.
Benefits
- Clear priorities. Leaders know what matters most, and what to stop or defer.
- Leadership alignment. Executives agree the direction before delivery begins.
- Decisions you can defend. Choices are grounded in evidence, tested against the future, and governed.
